Soya crisps offer food firms flexibility

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) says its new line of soya protein crisps are a cost-effective way to enhance nutrient content, texture and flavour in a range of applications, including nutrition bars, cereals and healthy snacks.

The crisps are available in a range of protein contents, and can be tailored to add fibre or characterising flavours to meet the needs of individual product formulations.

Tom Burrows, director of strategic marketing at ADM, comments: “Today’s consumers are expecting more choice, higher quality and greater convenience than ever before. While the demand for healthy snacks is rising, many snack manufacturers are still struggling to find the ingredients they need to develop quality products that stand out.

“With our new range of soya protein crisps, we are able to offer the market a more tailored approach that enables manufacturers to respond to consumer demand for healthy, cereal-based snacks with well-accepted flavour profiles and distinctive nutritional benefits.”
