Free-range egg supplier Noble Foods has appointed developmental chef David Parker to its marketing and innovation team.

His new role will see Parker focus on product and ingredient innovations while taking responsibility for developing egg-based products to expand the brand’s out-of-home opportunities.

Commenting on his appointment, Parker said: “This is a very exciting time to join Noble Foods and to be thinking beyond shell egg. The company has a rich history and presence in the sector, and now is the time to look at the future and explore how Noble Foods can add value to egg.”

Food industry experience

Parker brings more than 12 years' experience to the role, having worked at both Cargill and Kerry Foods in similar roles. Prior to his appointment at Noble, he taught Indian and Asian Cuisine at Brompton Cookery School.

He has also led successful retail and foodservice projects for Tesco and Compass Food Group.

Noble Foods marketing and innovation director Laura Sheard added: There is a huge opportunity for the business in the out-of-home category and through David’s appointment, we hope to tap into this to find new and innovative ways to use the humble egg.

Remaining competitive

“As the largest egg producer in the UK, it is time to look at new and creative ways to ensure we remain competitive and continue to drive demand for eggs and egg products, on behalf of our producers.

“Having worked in culinary research and development for both branded and own-label products, David has the perfect experience to help us drive these innovations. We look forward to sharing more in due course.”
