Kellogg launches engineering recruitment campaign
The producer is looking for individuals with manufacturing experience to fill a wide range of engineering positions at the plant, known for making cereals such as Special K, Bran Flakes and Kellogg’s Cornflakes.
Kellogg’s recruitment website has positions available in capital projects, maintenance planning, continuous improvement and PC & IS continuous improvement (more details in the box below).
Commenting on the recruitment process, site leader Sam Bistiaux said: “Our Wrexham factory is industry leading and we’re looking for six new team members who are going to drive positive change as we create the future of our Kellogg’s factory.
Positions available now
“That’s why I’d ask anyone with the right skillset, who enjoys delivering results as part of a team, to get in contact with us so we can talk to them about the positions we have available.’’
Engineers interested in the opportunities available at Kellogg have been advised to visit the manufacturer’s careers website for more details.
Kellogg’s hunt for new engineers followed reports of a surge in food industry job recruitment, according to Food Manufacture’s partner site FoodManJobs.
The site has recorded a 20% uplift week-on-week in job postings, indicating an incipient bounce-back from Government working restrictions imposed to help tackle the coronavirus pandemic, according to commercial director - recruitment Zoe Cooper.
Meanwhile, Addo Food Group is expanding operations at its Palethorpes bakery at Market Drayton in Shropshire, creating 65 new roles to deliver new product development and respond to increased demand for savoury products.
The company said it was launching the recruitment drive to support business growth, which had partly been driven by consumer trends fuelled by the coronavirus pandemic.
