Young’s announces US growth
Young’s Seafood has revealed plans for further growth in the US, six months after launching the brand in the market.
The processor planned to increase US distribution through its partnership with the Albertsons Safeway group into Safeway Northern California and Jewel-Osco, which would create an additional 1,300 points of distribution for its products.
Chief executive Bill Showalter said: “The expansion in North America highlights the significant scope we have to grow sales outside the UK. Our consumer research highlights that British provenance is a key selling point in the US.”
