Food and drink firms are being invited to enter an annual food safety survey that is offering participants the chance of winning £100 in Amazon vouchers.

Taking no more than two minutes to complete, the survey will shine a light on the food industry’s main food safety concerns, and pave a way to finding solutions. Please click here to enter​ – your anonymity will be assured. The deadline for entering is 6 June.

Results of the survey will be revealed at Food Manufacture’s​ Food Safety Conference, which takes place in Birmingham on 21 June.

Business-critical issues

Entitled ‘A focus on future law and threats’, the conference will cover a range of business-critical food safety issues, including regulation, data sharing, product recall, blockchain and allergen control. It is sponsored by AIB International, Pal International and Westgate Factory Dividers.

Leading the conference line-up is Nina Purcell, director of Wales and local delivery at the Food Standards Agency, who will offer an update on a new risk-based approach to inspecting food and drink businesses.

Other speakers include: Andy Morling, head of food crime at the National Food Crime Unit; Dawn Welham, president of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health; and Sue Davies, strategic policy adviser at Which?.

Chaired by Campden BRI director general Professor Steven Walker, the conference will be held at Etc.venues, Maple House, Birmingham, on Thursday 21 June.
