Needham Coding has expanded its ‘N’ series of continuous inkjet printers (CIJ) by adding new models, including one for specialist food-grade applications.

The N32 FG, which is targeted at the food sector, is a food-grade CIJ printer designed for harsh environments and for use with food-grade inks.

It can print directly onto foods, such as eggs, fruit and vegetables, or onto permeable packaging.

Sister company Needham Inks supplies self-disinfecting ink formulations that enable food products to be printed directly with fast-drying edible red or blue ink.

The N32 UV version has been developed to meet the demands of hidden security and traceability applications. It prints invisible codes that are only made visible when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.

Needham’s N32 M is a small character inkjet printer that prints from 0.6mm up to 10mm image heights. It operates at speeds up to 400m/min and features an IP65-rated enclosure for high pressure washdown.
