Food Manufacture Excellence Awards: tonight’s Oscar night
The long wait to discover which companies and individuals will lift the coveted FMEA trophies is nearly over. Now in their 16th year, the FMEAs celebrate the best of the best in British food and drink manufacturing. This year, 60-plus manufacturing firms, organisations and individuals are vying for one or more of the glittering prizes.
Hosting the glittering Venice-themed awards celebration will be TV star Carol Smillie. Joining Smillie on stage will be senior executives from winning food and manufacturers plus the winners of the individual awards: The Food Manufacture Personality of the year, the Young Talent of the year and, new this year, the Me and my Factory – editor’s choice award.
The big one
The evening will culminate with the big one – The Food Manufacture Company of the Year excellence award. Last year Moy Park triumphed. But who will win this year? There’s just a little while left to wait.
Meanwhile, thanks to our FMEA independent judging panel, chaired by Paul Wilkinson, chairman of the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink.
