Greencore appoints financial boss
Greencore Group has appointed Eoin Tonge its new chief financial officer and a director of the group with effect from October 3 2016.
He replaces Alan Williams, who leaves after six years at the company to become chief financial officer of building supplies firm Travis Perkin.
Williams will step down from the role on October 3, but will continue to work closely with Tonge until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
Tonge joined Greencore in early 2006 as group capital markets director before being promoted to group strategy and corporate development director in 2009. Since 2014 he has been md of Greencore’s grocery division in the UK.
Greencore ceo Patrick Coveney said: “We are delighted to welcome Eoin to the board of Greencore and to the role of chief financial officer.
“Eoin has played a critical role in shaping our Group's Food to Go strategy, led the delivery of the Uniq plc acquisition and executed several key acquisitions in the US.”
