French drinks company MicroFluid Biotechnology has harnessed the power of sunshine in a bottle with the launch of a drink that it claims enhances sun tanning.

Called Sun Water -- or L'eau bronzante -- the drink contains aloe vera, beta carotene and co-enzyme Q10 plus antioxidants lycopene and vitamin C.

Consumers are advised that they can help tan their skin if they drink one 500ml bottle every day for nine days. The drink can also be combined with a capsule treatment to boost its efficacy.

At euro 2.30 a bottle, the drink has a price tag in line with other suncare products.
