Core values key to winning an FMEA
In this exclusive video interview, Wessanen marketing director Gill Green spoke about the boost to staff morale and customer orders at Clipper since winning the award in November.
“To win an award against some industry giants makes this even more worthwhile,” said Green.
“We do much more business now than ever worldwide and probably about 50% of our tea is now exported. Winning this award will help us further that.
Green also gave advice prospective manufacturers looking to win a food and drink manufacturing Oscar at this year’s awards.
‘Probably always fall short’
She advised companies to focus on good business practices and not on trying to win prizes: “If you set out to win awards, then you’ll probably always fall short.”
Clipper also featured in our exclusive photogallery of images taken from Food Manufacture’s tour of its existing operation.
Meanwhile, Clipper Teas is experiencing “real international demand” for premium black tea variants, according to Wessanen operations manager Mark Bagwell.
In our exclusive interview, Bagwell said Clipper, based in Beaminster, Dorset, was well-placed to take advantage of that growth.
