Currie has left the Lightbody Group after 15 years with the business
Crawford Currie has stood down from the board of Finsbury Food Group and as finance director of the Lightbody Group.

Currie was appointed to the board in 2007 following Finsbury’s purchase of the Lightbody Group.

Before joining Lightbody in 1998, Currie held a number of senior accounting roles at various manufacturing companies.

‘Pivotal role’

 Martin Lightbody, non-executive chairman of Finsbury Food Group, said: “Over the last 15 years Crawford has played a pivotal role in growing and developing the Lightbody site, and since his appointment to the Finsbury board, working with the rest of the team to build the business we have today. 

“I would like to thank Crawford for his significant contribution to the group over the years, and wish him all the very best for the future knowing that he will grasp his new pursuits with his usual enthusiasm.”

Finsbury Food Group is a manufacturer of cakes and breads. Lightbody Group is a manufacturer of celebration cakes.
