Freddy Brewger slashes its way into pubs
Independent brewer Robinsons has launched its second to last movie-themed beer for 2018, Freddy Brewger, just in time for Halloween.
Named after the villain of the Nightmare on Elm Street series of films, the dark red beer was said to have a rich and deeply complex flavour with a hint of blackcurrant.
Pump artwork for the beer featured the iconic claw weapon used throughout the films and a font reminiscent of the movie’s logo.
Gill Yates, brands manager for Robinsons Brewery, said: “We’ve had a line-up of many acknowledged TV and movie inspired seasonal ales this year, which have proven to be extremely popular amongst our drinkers.
“With Halloween and winter around the corner, Freddy Brewger is the perfect beer for this time of year. We really wanted to capture the iconic horror of the movie in our artwork, to make this beer more fun and relatable to our drinkers.”
