Ambient manufacturing company of the year
Kent fudge manufacturer Fudge Kitchen picked up the first gong of the evening, the Ambient manufacturing company of the year.
The award was presented to Fudge Kitchen’s md Sian Holt by award sponsor Nigel Wright’s head of UK consumer operations division Robin Morle and award’s host Durden-Smith.
The judges said Fudge Kitchen had proved itself a very innovative and versatile confectionery company.
This was most recently demonstrated by the launch of its ‘drinking fudge’, which is now available from Amazon. Over the past 18 months, Fudge Kitchen has trebled its produced capacity.
The judges said: “Although a very small company they have a lot of vision in terms of new product development.
“The drinking fudge was a great innovation, filling gap in the market.”
