A British flapjack manufacturer has recalled several products due to the presence of undeclared allergens.

Coventry-based Full On Flapjacks has withdrawn various flapjack products because they contain almonds (nuts), soya and wheat (gluten) that are not declared on the label.

Covering England and Wales only, the recall affects the manufacturer’s Bakewell Flapjack (undeclared allergens: almonds (nuts), soya and wheat (gluten)), Raspberry Yoghurt Flapjack (undeclared allergens: soya and wheat (gluten)), White Chocolate Flapjack (undeclared allergens: soya and wheat (gluten)), Blueberry Swirl Flapjack (undeclared allergens: soya and wheat (gluten)), and Caramel Flapjack (undeclared allergens: soya and wheat (gluten)).

The recall concerns all pack sizes and all date codes of the products listed above. These products contain almonds, soya and wheat, making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to almonds (nuts) or soya, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat containing gluten, or with coeliac disease.

In a customer notice, a spokesperson for the brand said: “If you have bought any of the affected products listed above and you have an allergy to almond, soya or wheat do not eat them.

“Instead return the product to the store from which you purchased it for a full refund.”
