Granola firm goes free-from
Lizi’s Granola has launched a free-from variant of its granola to meet growing consumer demand for a natural, healthy, gluten-free breakfast alternative.
The new granola contains oats that have been carefully selected to ensure consumers they have not been contaminated by other crops. The launch has been approved by Coeliac UK and includes their ‘cross bone’ symbol on packs.
Mick Shaw, co-founder of Lizi’s Granola, said: “We’ve had requests to create a gluten-free version of our original granola for some time and we are delighted that we are now fulfilling that demand.
“Whilst coeliac disease and gluten intolerance is on the rise, so is the number of people looking to cut gluten from their diet as a lifestyle choice.”
The product was launched on the firm’s website this week and will be stocked in Asda and Sainsbury from July.
