ERP raises supply chain efficiency

Fresh produce supplier to high street restaurant chains, Reynolds Catering Supplies, based at Waltham Cross, near London, is using Infor’s M3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to raise order handling efficiency.

Installed originally in 2010, Reynolds is currently upgrading M3 to exploit new capabilities, such as group invoicing, supplier statement reconciliation, improved inbound delivery management and the process triggering capabilities, ahead of a migration to the Infor Xi computer platform.

The system was selected because of its ability to manage short shelf-life chilled products and its order capture capabilities.

These have been further enhanced with a warehousing system from Infor partner Zebra. This uses updated handheld terminals in the warehouse to make picking easier. Reynolds has also introduced radio frequency identification for crate tracking.

Meanwhile, brewer Fuller’s has adopted Infor’s CloudSuite Food & Beverage system as the basis of its business process transformation project. As part of a 15-year deal, Fuller’s will implement Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage alongside other systems from Infor for enterprise asset management, contract lifecycle management, customer relationship management and enterprise performance management.
