From Wagyu sharing steaks to personalised iced Bakewell tarts, we round-up some of the latest Valentine’s Day product launches from food and drink manufacturers.

We kick off our run down of Valentine’s Day food and drink products with the launch of Warrendale Wagyu’s a new ‘Love Bundle’ and a range of sharing steaks.

The Love Bundle includes a steak for two (sirloin or ribeye) which is accompanied by the brands latest venture, a bottle of WA-GYN – a 44% ABV fat washed gin  and a ‘first on the market’ within the UK.

The sharing steaks are available in five different cuts and a variety of weights, including rump, sirloin, ribeye, chateaubriand and T-bone.

Personalised Valentines Iced Bakewell Tarts

Historic baker the Bakewell Tart Shop is offering a novel way to say ‘I love you’ this Valentine’s Day with the launch of a new range of personalised sweet treats.

Available online for nationwide delivery or through their physical store and café, these personalised Iced Cherry Bakewell Tarts can either feature a traditional Valentine’s Day message, or a personalised message of up to 20 characters.

Duncan Kirk, managing director and owner of The Bakewell Tart Shop, said: “One of the most Googled questions at this time of year is ‘what can I get instead of flowers for Valentine’s Day?’ People seem to be shying away from tradition and are more interested in romantic gestures that are a surprise, and a little bit different.

“The Bakewell Tarts are very popular as gifts, with thousands of them being sent out every year. I think the personalised Valentine’s Day versions are going to go down a treat. Of course, the bonus is that is also something you can share and enjoy with your loved one.”

Krispy Kreme ‘Dough-Notes’

Keeping the bakery theme going, next up is a new range of Valentine’s Day themed doughnuts from Krispy Kreme in time for February 14.

Available for a limited time only, the range features heart-shaped doughnuts in special ‘Dough-notes’ packaging ideal for sending to loved ones tis Valentine’s Day.

Doughnuts on offer include ‘You colour my world’ (filled with raspberry flavoured cream), ‘I love you a-choco-lot’ (filled with chocolatey Kreme and finished with a romantic rose frosting) and ‘Without you I’d crumble’ (filled with cookie doughcream).

Also included in multipacks is an exclusive Original Glazed doughnut dipped in pink icing, ‘Such a Sweetheart’.

From Saturday 10th February to Wednesday 14th February, Krispy Kreme will also be transforming their iconic doughnuts into hearts to celebrate the love-filled season.

“People aren’t just craving delicious doughnuts, they crave connection, and our new collection satisfies both needs,”​ said Emma Colquhoun, chief customer officer for Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland.

“A dozen Valentine’s Day doughnuts in our custom Dough-Notes dozens box is the perfect gesture to show someone special in your life how much you love and care about them.”

Nights in for two with Kelly Loves

Romantic meals for two are a staple of Valentine’s Day, but there is also a growing trend of younger consumers wanting experiences. There’s also a growing trend of meal kits offering consumers the convenience of a professionally cooked meal while presenting something new and original for them to eat.

Japanese snacks and drinks brand Kelly Loves is positioning its meal kits as everything a couple needs to create a special night on Valentine’s Day.

The Ultimate Sushi Kit fried onions, ginger, wasabi, spicy mayo, a bamboo rolling mat and sushi rice, everything needed to create everything from sushi rolls to maki. Meanwhile, their Korean Variety Box includes products such as Kimchi Ramen, a selection of aloe vera drinks, crispy nori snacks and rice cakes.

“The Ultimate Sushi Kit and Korean Variety Box are perfect for however you wish to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year,”​ said a spokesman. “It’s a great option for friends looking to get creative in the kitchen or for foodie couples to enjoy a cosy Valentine’s night in.”

Speaking of meal boxes, Wild and Game is hoping to capture couples’ imaginations this February 14 with two products centred around sustainable game meat.

The Valentine's meal box includes starters of venison, juniper and gin pâté as well as sloe and wild garlic venison salami, all accompanied by a pack of Popti sea salt crackers. A venison, red wine and cranberry pie makes up the main course, followed up with a cheese course of Twanger Cheddar, Double Gloucester, four miniature chutneys.

A Luxury Valentine's Meal is also available, comprised of a starter course of venison, juniper and gin pâté; pheasant, pistachio and Port pâté; Sloe and wild garlic venison salami; and Popti sea salt crackers. The main course is a cut of venison tenderloin with the meal capped off with the cheese course mentioned above.

Wild and Game co-founder Steven Frampton said: “Throughout the year our hampers and meal boxes prove to be very popular, not just with devotees of wild game, but also with newer customers who are looking for a sustainable and sensible alternative to farmed meat.

“Our Valentine's meals include sustainable British venison and some delicious British cheeses and accompaniments.”

A night at the movies has always been a popular choice for a Valentine’s date and what better accompaniment for a blockbuster film is there than a bag of popcorn?

Joe and Steph’s Valentines Night In Gift Box features two of the snacks maker’s limited-edition Valentine's popcorn flavours, White Chocolate & Raspberry Popcorn Bites, and a cheeky Valentine's Card.

For consumers looking to send their partner a special gift this Valentine’s Day, the Pamper Night Gift Box is also available, as well as mini gift boxes and single packs of its Valentine’s ranges.

A new addition to the range is the White Chocolate Popcorn Slab, combining its raspberry gourmet popcorn with is Belgian white chocolate.

Meanwhile, several food manufacturers launched new vegan products to mark ‘Veganuary’ 2024.
