Aye Mac – Scotsman using Irn Bru to cool computer
An Edinburgh computer expert used a bottled of Irn Bru to build a computer cooling system, which he dubbed the ‘Aye Mac’ and put on display in the window of his PC Doctor store.
The ‘Aye Mac’ uses a 750ml glass bottle, connected to flowing tubes filled with a special orange liquid, to cool the machine and its circuits and was created by John Lawson.
It took Lawson more than a year to build the system, as he had to wait for special parts to arrive from Ukraine.
