IFST appoints new president
The Institute of Food Science and Technology appointed former Mars scientist Maureen Edmondson OBE as its president.
The former chair of the Food Standards Agency’s Northern Ireland Food Advisory Committee took over from Margaret Patterson.
She said she was honoured to take on the role and will aim to increase the voice of food science and technology in the public arena, ensure policy is evidence based and that young people are aware of careers the sector offers.
