Müller boss to take overall control
Müller UK & Ireland Group boss Ronald Kers will take overall responsibility for the holding company as its ceo in 2015.
He will oversee the Müller, Müller Wiseman, Weihenstephan, Sachsenmilch and Käserei Loose dairy brands.
Kers will replace Heiner Kamps, who has held the role since 2011.
Theo Müller, the sole shareholder of the Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller, said: “I am very pleased that we can recognise and promote talent from within the organisation to this position at the top of the management board.
“We followed the proposal of Heiner Kamps and are convinced that Kers will successfully continue to lead the Unternehmensgruppe on its growth path.”
The firm praised Kers for playing a central role in the key acquisitions of the Minsterley production site, where Cadbury chilled desserts are manufactured, and the NOM Dairy UK Limited in Telford (now TM Telford).
Under Ker’s leadership, Müller entered the British butter market by opening its own butter factory in Market Drayton.
