Buttermilk Confections is recalling its Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar because it contains milk, which is not mentioned on the label and as such poses a risk to anyone with a milk allergy.
The plant-based chocolate snack brand is recalling all 45g packs of its Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar with the batch code BM26105 and a best before date of 15 June 2027.
In a statement on its website, the firm said: “As part of our routine testing procedures, we have identified in our supply chain a specific batch of our Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar which has tested positive for traces of milk (casein) which is not mentioned on the label.
“No other products from Buttermilk or batches of Honeycomb Blast Choc Bar are impacted by this issue.”
In its recall notice, Buttermilk Confections has asked any customers who have bought the product, and who have a milk allergy or intolerance, not to consume it, but instead to return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. No receipt is required.
