Waitrose boss to become Lord
Waitrose md and GroceryAid life patron Mark Price has appointed minister of state at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
He has been granted a peerage and will become Lord Price with effect from April 2016.
He will leave Waitrose after 33 years to take up the role in April 2016.
Price, who is also deputy chairman for the John Lewis Partnership, was made a commander of the Royal Victorian Order in the 2014 New Year’s Honour’s list.
