McVitie’s is Britain’s best biscuit
British biscuit brand McVitie’s was the third most popular food and drink product among British consumers last year.
The brand, owned by United Biscuits, was snapped up by 88.8% of the population on average 14.7 times a year.
Earlier this year, McVitie’s Hobnobs was voted Britain’s favourite biscuit in a poll by packaging firm Kernpack.
It has a global presence in more than 100 countries with a strong heritage in the UK.
The McVitie’s story began in 1830 by an apprentice baker named The brand was formed by Robert McVitie in 1830 along with his father William.
Its brands include: McVitie’s Digestives, Jaffa Cakes and Hobnobs.
McVitie’s was launched in France in 2009 and has been purchased by more than 2M households, according to Kantar.
