Cargill appoints new md of chocolate
Cargill appointed Inge Demeyere as its new md of chocolate for its Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia cocoa and chocolate business this month.
Demeyere first joined Cargill in 1998 as a purchasing manager and has since held a number of leadership roles.
She said it was an “exciting time” to oversee chocolate.
“Not only are we experiencing strong cocoa, sugar and dairy market volatility but at the same time we are also growing the business, by expanding our facilities in Rouen, Berlin and Mouscron,” she added.
“I look forward to taking on this role, to working to develop an even deeper knowledge of our customers’ needs so we can add even more value and innovation.”
Jos de Loor, president of Cargill cocoa and chocolate, said she would bring a “broad knowledge” to the role.
