Dairy UK director to stand down after 30 years
Simon Bates called time on his career with Dairy UK, this month, after 30 years with it and predecessor organisations.
He stood down from his role as communications director, which he had held since 2010.
Bates said it had been a huge privilege to serve the interests of the industry, but that now was the right time to move on.
Billy Keane, chairman of Dairy UK, said: “Everyone at Dairy UK and across the industry is acutely aware of the enormous contribution Simon has made over the years on behalf of dairy industry. He has been particularly instrumental in ensuring the industry has had an effective representative body.”
