Waitrose has withdrawn its Waitrose Essential Unsweetened Oat Drink from sale because of the risk of microbiological contamination.
The retailer said a breakdown in temperature control has created a spoilage risk, which could make the product unsafe to drink.
The recall covers all one-litre packs of the drink with best-before dates between 14 August 2026 and 29 October 2026 that were purchased between 2 September 2026 and 21 September 2026.
In a customer notice, a Waitrose spokesperson said: “We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused.”
Customers who have purchased an affected product should not consume it. They should instead return it to their nearest Waitrose store for a full refund.
