The Swindon-based firm has revealed that it will open its new Northern Customer Experience and Innovation Centre in October next year.
The facility will enable food manufacturers to explore Multivac UK’s latest processing and packaging technologies, collaborate with experts and trial the firm’s line solutions.
Located in the Trafford Park area of Manchester, the company said the centre will represent a “significant investment” in supporting food manufacturers across Northern England and Scotland.
Created as a collaborative hub, the facility has been designed for customers and prospective customers to work directly with Multivac UK specialists to evaluate new concepts, test packaging and processing solutions, and develop innovative growth opportunities.
The new Manchester centre will complement Multivac UK’s established Innovation Centre in Swindon and has also been set up to help manufacturers address upcoming regulatory challenges such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

“Together with our Innovation Centre in Swindon, the new Manchester facility will help bring innovation, expertise and support closer to customers, creating new opportunities for collaboration, learning and growth.”
The facility will also host expert-led training programmes for equipment operators, engineers and service personnel, helping to maximise machine performance, enhance technical capability and develop in-house expertise.
Multivac UK said an expanding range of value-added services and support capabilities is expected as development progresses.
