Reading-based ASR Solutions has withdrawn its Lay’s Sour Cream & Dill Crisps because they contain milk and wheat (gluten), which are not declared on the label. The affected product was sold in Home Bargains stores.
The recall affects all 125g packs of the crisps with best-before dates up to and including 31 October 2026.
The incorrect labelling means the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or to those with coeliac disease.
In its notice to affected customers, ASR Solutions apologised “for any inconvenience caused” and advised anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to milk or gluten not to consume the product.
Affected customers can return the product to their local Home Bargains store for a full refund.
