A national supermarket chain has recalled a cashew product because of a possible foreign body contamination.

Morrisons has issued a recall notice for Morrisons Savers Cashews due to the possible presence of glass, which could pose a health risk to consumers.

The Bradford-based retailer’s recall covers all 125g packs of its Savers Cashews with the best before dates of 9 August 2026, 6 September 2026, 26 September 2026, 28 September 2026, and 9 October 2026.

The action taken only applies to England, Scotland and Wales. The product has been pulled as the possible presence of glass makes it unsafe for consumption.

In its recall notice, Morrisons has asked customers not to eat the product, but instead to return it to their nearest store for a full refund, with no receipt required.

In a statement, the supermarket said: “As a precaution, Morrisons is recalling Savers cashew 125g with the best before dates listed above, because there is a risk that some packs may contain glass.

“No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
