Galway-based Divilly’s has recalled its Divilly Brothers No Added Nitrite Crumbed Ham.
The affected product comes in 90g packs with a batch code of 20163983 and a use by date of 4 June 2026.
The product contains wheat (gluten) that is not declared on the label, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.
Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the product. This recall concerns Northern Ireland only.
In its notice, Divilly Brothers said that it was “recalling the above batch of Divilly Brothers No Added Nitrite Crumbed Ham as a precaution as some packs may be incorrectly labelled. Consumers who have a gluten allergy are advised not to eat the implicated batch.”
Affected consumers who have purchased the product can return the item to where they bought it for a full refund.
Divilly’s produces a range of meat products including packet ham, sliced chicken, turkey, sausages and bacon rashers.
