A fire, sparked by a refrigeration unit, at a food logistics site was extinguished by two fire engines from the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service on Wednesday April 27.

Fire crew used a hose reel jet and other fire engine tools to fight the fire at the premises of food logistics business CML & F, based in Halesfield, near Telford.

The fire was confined to the fan of ventilation equipment in a refrigeration unit, according to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The business operated 5,110m2 of ambient space, corresponding to about 3,000 pallet spaces.

It also had 15,794m2 of chilled space, which provides around 15,000 pallet spaces.
