New Britain Oils appoints account manager
New Britain Oils appointed Iain Anderson as its new national account manager as part of its plan to “significantly grow” its foodservice arm.
Anderson brings more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, most recently as national account manager at vegetable oils and fats producer AAK, where he headed up a raft of major food service accounts.
His arrival this month marks the launch of an expansion project for the foodservice arm of the business, as New Britain Oils seeks to attract more customers from the sector including wholesale, catering, cash and carry and fast food end users.
Adam Thomas, general manager at New Britain Oils, said: “Anderson will be instrumental in growing the business through this latest expansion. We are lucky to have him on board and look forward to this next step for New Britain Oils.”
The announcement follows New Britain Oils’ recent expansion of its bakery fats production capability, which was bolstered by 30% in order to meet the substantial increase in demand for segregated, traceable palm-based products.
