Diageo director to stand down after almost 10 years
Brewer Diageo’s corporate relations director, Ian Wright, announced his decision to stand down from his role on March 31 2014 this month.
Paul Walsh, who works for the firm as a consultant after standing down as ceo in May, said Wright had made a “very important contribution” to Diageo’s global standing during almost a decade with the brewer.
“Ian has been a principal architect of Diageo’s reputation. It was he and his team who first articulated our ambition to be one of the world’s most trusted and respected companies and he has been a major contributor in our efforts to achieve it,” he added.
Charlotte Lambkin, current group communications director of British multinational defence, security and aerospace firm BAe Systems, who will take over from Wright, will join the firm in January 2014.
