Waitrose has recalled a widely sold fish pâté product because of an incorrect use-by date.

Waitrose has withdrawn its 115g Tuna Pâté from sale because of a labelling error, with an incorrect use-by date displayed on the packaging.

As a result, the premium grocer has recalled all 115g packs of Waitrose Tuna Pâté carrying a use-by date of 17 December 2026.

This makes the product unsafe to eat beyond its correct use-by date, which is 17 October 2026.

Customers who have purchased the affected product are advised not to eat it and should instead return it to their local Waitrose store for a full refund.

In a customer notice, a Waitrose spokesperson said: “We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused.”
