This summer marks Handtmann Ltd’s 40th birthday. Established in 1986, the company is part of the historical German business, Handtmann Processing Division, which has an impressive 150+ years behind it.
The UK arm was the group’s first subsidiary and lay the foundations for its global network that now comprises 17 subsidiaries worldwide.
The UK has long served as Handtmann’s primary launch market for new products and innovations, making it an important benchmark for product development and customer adoption. The market also carries special historical significance for the Handtmann family: Arthur Handtmann’s mother was English, and some of the company’s very first machines were delivered to customers in the UK.
Now operating with a team of close to 50 across the UK, Handtmann Ltd has earned a reputation for service excellence and long-term customer partnership over the last four decades, with several accolades to its name.
To commemorate 40 years, Handtmann Ltd hosted a special party on 17 July, bringing together employees from across the UK business alongside senior representatives from the Handtmann Processing Group, including divisional CEO Harald Suchanka, who joined the UK team in its celebrations.
“Reaching 40 years is a remarkable milestone for Handtmann Ltd and for the Handtmann Processing Division as a whole,” said Suchanka.
“As our first international subsidiary, the UK business has played a pioneering role in shaping our global development and establishing the international presence we enjoy today.
“For decades, the UK has served as a key launch market for innovations and new technologies, providing valuable insights that continue to influence our global strategy. This anniversary celebrates not only business success, but also the strong partnerships, commitment and entrepreneurial spirit that have defined Handtmann Ltd for 40 years.”
UK managing director, Anthony Daniels said the business is “extremely proud” of its achievements over the last 40 years.
He added: “We will continue to actively drive Handtmann Ltd forward by helping customers implement increasingly automated, efficient and sustainable production processes.
