The protein producer has injected €3.5 million (£3M) into its Lithuania-based facility, bringing its total capacity to 50 million bars per year.
The investment has extended the Newon Food’s protein bar formulation and production capabilities to include next gen protein bar texture and layers. This will allow for softer, airy textures; gooey no-added sugar layers; alongside crispy, protein-fortified toppings.

Aidas Tratulis, business development manager, told Food Manufacture the investment was a “crucial decision” and will see it better able to support brands across Europe with bar co-manufacturing capabilities; and to serve high-growth, premium customers across Europe and the Middle East.
“This investment aligns with our strategy to be the number one premium innovator in the protein bar co-manufacturing space,” added Tratulis.
Newon Food is a privately held manufacturer founded in 2018 producing nutritional bars for brands, retailers and distributors. In 2024, the company grew its in-house developed bar recipe base to around 150 unique recipes.
