The Italian manufacturer is recalling specific batches of its frozen Nutella Croissant because they may contain pieces of metal, making them unsafe to eat.
The recall covers four-packs of the product with batch codes L126Z39 and L127Z39, with best before dates of 6 May 2027 and 7 May 2027.
In its recall notice, Ferrero UK said: “Ferrero is recalling specific batches of its frozen Nutella Croissant in the UK, due to a risk that some products may contain metal. No other Ferrero product is affected and consumers can continue to enjoy their products as usual.
“Food safety authorities have been informed in the respective countries and Ferrero is coordinating with customers and partners to ensure the effective recall of the impacted products from the market.”
The company is advising customers who have bought the affected batches to either dispose of them or to return them to the store from which they were purchased for a full refund.
