Since the pandemic expectations around health have shifted significantly.
Health has moved from being a differentiator to almost a baseline expectation; with manufacturers now operating in an environment where definitions of ‘healthy’ are increasingly complex, contested, and ever-evolving.
We’re seeing sustained reformulation pressure and ongoing regulatory change shaping what can and can’t be positioned as healthy. At the same time, ultra‑processed foods (UPFs) have been thrust into the spotlight, driving renewed interest in ‘clean’ labels and shorter ingredient lists – despite persisting confusion around what a UPF actually is.
Layered on top of that is the rapid rise of weight‑loss drugs, which is already starting to change consumption patterns in ways we’re only beginning to understand.
For today’s food and drink manufacturers, the challenge isn’t just keeping up with pacy individual trends, it’s understanding how they interact, what they mean for long‑term product strategy, and where to invest in order to remain competitive as the health landscape evolves.
Our upcoming webinar, Are you ready for the healthy consumer, will not only unpack the biggest health trends driving the sector, but we’ll explore how these sit alongside science, regulation and real‑world product strategy.
Attendees will gain an understanding of how they can best prepare for what comes next.
Meet the four-strong panel of experts who will join Food Manufacture for the informative and lively discussion.
