Nichols Foods has renamed itself Aimia Foods nine months after a management team bought it back from soft drinks firm Nichols.

The £40m turnover business, which was founded by Gary and Ian Unsworth in the early 1980s, was sold to Nichols in 1986.

The Haydock-based vending, foodservice, retail and co-packing firm supplies fruit drinks, squashes, syrups, hot beverage powders, pie fillings and soups and has partnerships with Masterfoods, Unilever and Percol.
