Piccolo donates to food education
This year’s Startups 100 list saw organic baby food manufacturer Piccolo take the 89th spot, the only baby food brand working with the National Childbirth Trust. The company donates 10% of its profits to the charity.
Piccolo range of vegetable and fruit purées includes squash, red pepper, chickpea & apple, mango, pear & kale, and sweet potato, beetroot, apple & pear.
The company launched its range through Waitrose and has since secured listings with Asda, Ocado, Amazon and other independent retailers.
Piccolo is also the first company to receive investment from crowdfunding platform AllBright.
