Quorn plans year of NPD
News that meat-free firm Quorn was planning “substantial” new product development (NPD) throughout 2015 proved a big hit with the readers of this site.
The NPD was expected to include gluten-free and vegan products, which Quorn predicted would fuel UK and international growth, the firm’s boss Kevin Brennen told FoodManufacture.co.uk in January.
It anticipated gluten-free products would be the first to be released in early 2015, followed by vegan in September and beef wellington-style products at the end of the year.
It also planned snack formats for food-to-go and lunchboxes.
