Another Morrisons manager checks out
Morrisons group trading director Casper Meijer became the latest board member to check out of the retailer this month.
A whopping 70% of the retailer’s management board have now left the company since David Potts joined in March.
Meijer was appointed to the board in December 2012 and has since lead the company’s trading strategy with the objective of delivering lower prices, fewer and bigger promotions and a simpler shopping trip, according to the retailer.
Potts said he had played a “crucial role” at the retailer.
Andrew Pleasance, with nearly 30 years of experience working closely with Morrisons’ supply base, would take on the role of group trading director on an interim basis, the company said.
