Aldi
Aldi’s reputation for attracting top quality and ambitious graduates who have a determination to succeed for its Area Management Programme makes it the top food and drink business for graduates, according to The Times.
As well as a starting salary of £41,000 – rising to £67,750 after four years – and a fully expensed Audi A4, Aldi offers graduates real responsibility from day one, it added.
“Graduates who possess an ability to inspire, lead and motivate a growing retail team within a fast-paced environment are highly sought after, as these qualities have made Aldi a driving force in the UK’s retail landscape,” The Times said.
“Aldi area managers must be team players – the business actively seeks out graduates who can demonstrate leadership qualities, either through academic or extra-curricular activities.”
Candidates who are selected for Aldi’s programme will begin their journey in-store and within weeks could be managing a store of their own. Maintaining high standards and attention to detail are expected throughout the role and in return.
The retailer has 175 graduate jobs on offer and requires a 2.1 degree.
Last month, the discount retailer launched an “affordable” range of organic products which it claimed could help customers save 25% on their organic basket.
