Sugar: the big fat debate – in pictures
From the launch of Action on Sugar’s campaign in January to the key insights of a government insider, we capture the character of an interestingly heated debate.
The Food Manufacture Group will host a free one-hour webinar – Obesity and health: the big fat, sugar and salt debate – to be broadcast at 11am on Thursday July 3.
‘Hard scientific realities’
To separate the facts from the fictions, the myths from hard scientific realities, we have assembled an expert cast of speakers, who will debate the origins of Britain’s obesity crisis and, more importantly, what role food and drink manufacturers could and should play in remedying the problem.
Taking part will be Barbara Gallani, director of regulatory, science and health at the Food and Drink Federation; Professor Graham MacGregor, Professor of cardiovascular Medicine at Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine; Dr Charlotte Evans, lecturer - nutritional epidemiology and public health nutrition at the University of Leeds and Professor Alan Jackson, director National Institute for Health Research at Southampton Biomedical Research Centre.
Register for your free place here. Attendees will be able to submit questions for the panel members during the broadcast, or in advance, to Michael.stones@wrbm.com.
