The fresh food specialist has secured a contract with foodservice firm Sodexo, Brighton & Hove Albion’s culinary partner, which will see it supply matchday pies at the American Express Stadium (Amex Stadium) from August 2026.
Higgidy’s contract will see it supply individual 200g pies in four flavours, as well as a 200g sausage roll, for all of the Premier League side’s home matchdays next season.
The locally made range of pies will include: Steak & Onion Pie with Gravy; Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie with a creamy white sauce; a vegan Chickpea & Spinach Masala Pie with tomatoes; and a guest pie, Chicken Tikka Pie with red peppers. Each pie will be baked in shortcrust pastry and topped with a puff pastry lid.
Paris-based Sodexo works with a range of professional football clubs across the UK, including Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Celtic, with the success of the Brighton contract potentially opening the door for Higgidy to supply products to more football venues.
Founded in 2003, Higgidy already works with a range of UK retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado, Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Booths, Amazon Fresh and Boots, as well as selected Londis and Budgens stores.
