The discount grocery retailer is recalling its 1001 Delights Dubai Style Pistachio Ice Cream because it contains cashew (nuts) that are not declared on the label.
The action concerns Northern Ireland only and will see all 300g packs of the product with a best-before date of 8 December 2027 withdrawn from the market.
In its customer notice, Lidl Northern Ireland said that it was recalling the item due to the presence of cashews not declared on the ingredients list which could cause serious health issues for people with a cashew allergy.
The discounter added: “Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Any customers with queries or concerns can contact our Customer Services Team.”
Affected customers should not consume the product, but should instead return it to a Lidl store for a full refund, with no receipt required.
