The move will see Bull lead innovation and new product development (NPD) initiatives across the Birmingham-based manufacturer’s meals division, in a bid to strengthen 2 Sisters’ ability to deliver “high-quality, consumer-focused” products for its retail partners.
Joining from fresh prepared foods specialist Bakkavor, where she has worked as head of development since 2019, Bull brings close to 30 years’ innovation experience to her new role.
2 Sisters said Bull has “a proven track record of driving consumer-led growth in categories such as ready meals and chilled foods”, as well as working with major UK retailers to “bring appealing new products to market.”
On her appointment, Bull said: “I’m thrilled to have joined 2 Sisters Food Group as development director. It’s an exciting time to be in the industry, with so many forward-thinking retailers championing innovation and embracing new ideas that delight consumers. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the talented teams within 2SFG and our retail partners to develop standout products that meet evolving tastes and demands.
“Having started my career with Marks & Spencer and worked closely with businesses that are now central parts of 2 Sisters, it is something of a ‘full-circle’ moment. I am proud to say that we still produce products that trace their origins back to developments I was involved with earlier in my career, like the iconic ‘M&S Cottage Pie meal for one’. It makes this opportunity especially meaningful, and I’m excited to help shape the next generation of products and innovation across the business.”
Ian Fletcher, managing director of the 2 Sisters Food Group meals division, added: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to 2 Sisters Food Group. Sarah brings a wealth of experience in innovation, product development and customer partnership, having built a strong track record working alongside some of the UK’s leading retailers.
“Her deep understanding of consumer trends, combined with her passion for creating high-quality products, makes her an excellent addition to the business. Sarah’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to investing in talent and capabilities that support long-term growth, product excellence and trusted retail partnerships.”
