In his new role at the Birds Eye and Goodfella’s owner, Justin Billingsley will lead the group’s wide-ranging marketing function, spanning brand and portfolio strategy, communications, research and development, and innovation.
His focus will also be centred on driving stronger commercial outcomes and long-term brand equity across the group’s extensive family of brands.
Taking up the post with immediate effect, he will report directly to Nomad Foods’ chief executive officer (CEO), Dominic Brisby.
Having previously led brands at major fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) businesses, including Unilever and Coca-Cola, Billingsley also spent time as global CMO at French advertising powerhouse Publicis Groupe.
In a varied career, he has additionally held senior marketing roles at telecoms firms Nokia and Orange, as well as the worldwide chief operating officer role at British advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
Nomad Foods said the appointment would strengthen its executive team and reinforce its focus on sustainable growth across its European brands and markets.
“Justin’s deep marketing expertise and brand leadership capabilities will be instrumental as we continue to build a more powerful, unified set of brands across Europe,” said Brisby.
“His experience will be critical in accelerating our growth agenda and strengthening our connection with consumers across all markets. I am absolutely delighted to welcome him to Nomad Foods.”
The news follows a series of recent leadership developments at the company, including the appointment of Jon Fernandez de Barrena as president of Southern Europe, who joined in April 2026, and Simon Ball as president of the UK and Ireland, appointed in March 2026.
