Plenish protein powder debut
Plenish, known for its nut-based milk alternatives and health shots, has expanded beyond drinks with the launch of two protein powders.
Madagascan Vanilla Clean Protein Powder and Cocoa & Sea Salt Clean Protein Powder are both made with seven naturally sourced vegan ingredients and formulated around pea protein. Each serving contains 20g of protein and is a source of fibre, with no artificial flavours, preservatives, sweeteners or additives.
Plenish says its protein powders provide a complete amino acid profile while maintaining taste and texture, addressing common consumer concerns around alternative protein powders.

The products follow increased demand for ‘clean label’ products, alongside a sustained focus on protein, fibre and convenience.
Russell Goldman, managing director of breakthrough brands at parent company Carlsberg Britvic, said: “We know today’s consumers expect more from their wellness products and want multiple health objectives in a single product.
“Consumers using protein powders want to hit their protein goals while keeping things simple, and enjoying added benefits like fibre, without having to compromise on taste. Our new protein powders deliver exactly that, staying true to our mission of ingredient transparency and great tasting products.
“This launch is an exciting milestone for Plenish, and we can’t wait to see how it elevates everyday wellness routines for our consumers.”
The products will be available direct-to-consumer via Plenish’s website from 20 April 2026, followed by an Amazon launch on 27 April. Both SKUs will retail at £45 for 30 servings.
New multipack meat sticks
Meat snacking brand, Hungry Boar, has expanded its range with a new multipack format for two of its flavours.
The brand has rapidly built a loyal following since its launch last year, offering thin ‘Sticklers’ of seasoned meat which are inspired by ‘Kabanos’ – a Polish snack that dates back to medieval times.
The Hungry Boar single packs have seen strong performance after being trialled on clip strips in Tesco stores.
Now, the brand has launched two multipacks into the Tesco’s chilled aisle: Flamin’ Piri Piri and Original Pork, each containing five 30g packs.

The multipacks also feature Hungry Boar’s updated recipe, delivering high protein credentials alongside gluten free claims and reduced fat and salt.
The brand had been originally targeting adults aged 25+ with an active lifestyle, but the multipack format gives way to a new market – families and everyday frequent snackers.
The Tesco launch is backed by a £1 million marketing investment, doubling Hungry Boar’s spend in 2025. This includes high impact digital and out-of-home advertising which will run across transport hubs, gyms and commuter routes near supported Tesco stores, alongside paid social and search.
A nationwide sampling and experiential programme has also been planned across major family events.
Rebecca Cutter, marketing director at the brand’s marketing and distribution partner, Golden Acre Foods, commented: “Shoppers have been asking for multipacks since day one, so this launch is a natural next step for us.
“The demand for high protein, flavour first meat snacks continues to grow and Tesco is the perfect partner to bring this format to a wider audience. With a major marketing push behind the brand, we are confident the multipacks will accelerate brand penetration and drive incremental category growth.”
The multipacks are available from Tesco with an RSP of £4.
THIS deli slices
Plant-based brand THIS has added to its range with its ready-to-eat deli products.
THIS Isn’t Roast Chicken Slices and the THIS Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices are designed to give consumers a quick, high protein snack, with clear nutritional information on pack.
Alongside their protein credentials, both are a source of vitamin B12 and iron, and low in saturated fat.
The Roast Chicken Slices use a blend of soya, wheat and pea proteins to replicate bite and texture, while the Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices focus on ‘adventurous flavour’ and the rising popularity of beans.

The products are ready to eat and positioned as a snack, sandwich option, or as part of ‘a picky bits’ meal.
The slices will retail at £2.95 per 95g pack, with their launch primed for later this month.
While Waitrose and Sainsbury’s will stock both, Morrisons will list the Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices only.
Quaker’s protein push
Quaker has also expanded its high-protein offering with the launch of a new Protein Granola and a new flavour for its Protein Porridge range which saw value growth of 51% in 2025.
The new Quaker Protein Granola comes in two flavours: Mango & Passionfruit, made with real fruit pieces, and Chocolate Brownie with Salted Caramel, featuring brownie pieces.
The products deliver 22g and 21g of protein per 100g respectively and are made with wholegrain oats and wheat. They are also both high in fibre and non-HFSS; designed to be eaten for breakfast or as a snack with milk or yoghurt.
Its new Quaker Chocolate Brownie Porridge combines 100% wholegrain oats with a chocolate flavour, and offers 20g of protein per 100g. This extension to the porridge line follows popular demand for chocolate brownie among the under 35s. With its non-HFSS credentials, the brand is hoping to attract younger shoppers.
The product is available in both sachet and pot format, and ready to eat in 2 minutes, tapping into the trend for quick and convenient breakfast options.

Danielle Gipson, head of marketing at Quaker, said: “Our new Protein Granola range will appeal to shoppers looking for healthier breakfasts, offering a dual benefit of high protein and high fibre, made with wholesome ingredients. It complements our fast-growing Protein Porridge range, and the addition of a Chocolate Brownie flavour also brings a more indulgent option to the fixture, giving shoppers greater choice and helping retailers drive incremental breakfast sales.”
Quaker Protein Granola is stocked at Tesco, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s at a RRP £3.75/400g.
Its Chocolate Brownie Protein Porridge is available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda, for a RRP £3.75 for 8 sachets and £2.50 per 61g pot.
