Meat and poultry producer Gilbert’s is recalling its Turkey Breast Pastrami because Listeria monocytogenes has been found in the product.

The Milton Keynes business, which makes kosher products, is recalling its Turkey Breast Pastrami.

The affected product comes in a 142g pack with a use by of 9 April 2026 and the following product code: CK016 CK027.

Symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe and result in meningitis.

Those who are aged 65+, infants younger than one month old, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems are more vulnerable to Listeria infections.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product and on their website. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

The Food Standards Agency says customers who bought the product should not eat it and instead return the product to store it was purchased from for a full refund.
